AmaChol® is NatIng amaranth functional carrier and its high quality has been confirmed by pre-clinical studies in vitro by best Italian Universities.

Amaranth is a pseudo cereal, considered as a “superfood” because it contains high nutraceutical values such as a high-quality protein, unsaturated oils, squalene, dietary fiber, tocopherols, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, vitamins, and minerals.

AmaChol® properties

  • Low glycemic index compared to maltodextrin
  • Significantly inhibits the intestinal absorption of cholesterol
  • Antioxidant activity thanks to quercetin and phenolic acids
  • High in proteins and well balancing amino acids
  • Contains omega-3 and omega-6
  • Gluten free and suitable for celiac
  • Produced using our DEFS® technology system that doesn’t use chemical solvents but just water and ethanol.

Clinical studies

To supply customers with quality and effectiveness, as well as scientific innovation, NatIng collaborates with Italian Universities to set up studies directly on the product.

Glycemic index:

Studies have demonstrated that as a result of digestion, AmaChol® releases less glucose than maltodextrin and does not directly raise blood glucose (glycemic index).

Furthermore, the results of studies conducted on the product show a significant reduction in insulin secretion of 63,4% by AmaChol® compared to maltodextrin.

Cholesterol:

The results obtained from the experimental tests demonstrated the ability of AmaChol® to significantly inhibit (p <0.05) the intestinal absorption of cholesterol by 69% compared to maltodextrin and by 60% compared to the intestinal absorption of the analogous cholesterol reagent from alone. AmaChol® is, therefore, significantly decrease the intestinal absorption of cholesterol compared to maltodextrin.

Antioxidant activity:

The total polyphenols of AmaChol®, were quantified before and after passing through the intestinal tissue.

The results clearly indicate that AmaChol® has quantifiable percentages of polyphenols and that these are absorbed by the human intestinal epithelium.

Use

Thanks to its low glycemic index (GI: 35), large content of fiber and high amount of manganese, AmaChol® represents a good option for regulating sugar levels for correcting hyperglycemia as part of a healthy nutritional approach.

AmaChol® is an excellent nutraceutical choice for a healthier life and better performance for athletes, vegans, vegetarians, children and those persons that had acquired allergies, have celiac disease or need more easily digestible proteins.

AmaChol® can be used in formulation of functional foods and food supplements as a carrier of functional molecules, replaces the maltodextrins traditionally used as a vehicle for different extracts. The advantages are reflected in the finished product, which thus acquires the beneficial properties of the pseudocereal.

AmaChol® is produced from amaranth with a patented technology, which does not use chemical extraction solvents outside of water.
