GlycavOx® is a plant phytocomplex based on avocado (Persea americana) and AmaChol® (Amaranthus caudatus) and presents a synergy between substances that help improve general well-being, providing nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants.
The avocado fruit contains monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA), polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and saturated fatty acids, lipids essential for general well-being which, in addition, improve the bioavailability of fat-soluble vitamins and phytochemicals consumed simultaneously. Amaranth is rich in fiber and, thanks to its low glycemic index (GI: 35), is a good option for regulating sugar levels. The results of the in vivo study conducted on AmaChol® demonstrated a reduction in post-prandial blood sugar and glycated hemoglobin, a significant reduction in cholesterol and above all weight loss and BMI, in 3 months of administration.

The presence of AmaChol® amaranth thanks to the health claim for cholesterol metabolism, provides GlycavOx® with added value in terms of food safety, in addition to the tonic and supportive action of the avocado fruit (see Attachment 1-Botanicals of the Ministerial Decree of August 10, 2018). Amaranth and avocado are both defined as “superfoods” as they offer high levels of nutrients with beneficial properties for health in a preventive perspective.
GlycavOx® can be used as a single ingredient or in combination with others to formulate a nutraceutical product indicated for metabolic alterations or to provide antioxidant substances in the diet. Combined with other extracts, GlycavOx® can be proposed as a functional ingredient to deal with malnutrition even in celiac subjects.
