BuckNat® is made from buckwheat, a low-calorie pseudocereal, rich in flavonoids, fatty acids, polysaccharides, amino acids, dietary fiber, resistant starch, B vitamins and minerals. Buckwheat proteins have a unique amino acid composition with beneficial cholesterol-lowering and antihypertensive properties.

The quality of BuckNat® has been confirmed by in vitro studies conducted by prestigious Italian universities: BuckNat® has a lower glycemic index than maltodextrin (GI 40 instead of 95) and after gastroduodenal digestion it caused the release of 18% less glucose compared to maltodextrin itself. The results of several studies conducted on BuckNat® show a significant reduction in insulin secretion of 77.8% compared to maltodextrin. Thanks to the NatIng DEFS® technological system, BuckNat® preserves essential macro / micro and trace elements typical of buckwheat.
Like AmaChol®, BuckNat® can modulate the intestinal absorption of cholesterol with respect to maltodextrin, usually used as a carrier in food supplements.
